    So are the Ravens and Browns, but Cleveland kept the history.

    Pretty sure the old Hornets' stats and records stay with the Pelicans. The decision to keep the records/stats in Charlotte would have had to have been made the day Shinn took the team to New Orleans.

    Now if you're also suggesting New Orleans should own the rights to the Jazz records (pun not intended), I will gladly listen. The Pelicans do have Maravich's No. 7 retired from his Jazz days.
