I know this has been going on for a while, but it seems to really have been picking up recently. "10 reasons why you should hate some type of person" or whatever.

Deadspin/Gawker really specializes in this and I'm sure they all get clicks. I just find it fucking depressing.

Ones I've seen, on those teases that sit below the end of stories I read on some websites, that I truly detest: "10 Celebrities with Ugly Spouses," "Celebrities Who've Aged Horribly," "Celebrities who've Gained Too Much Weight." etc. Man, just the height of shallowness.

I just saw a new one at the end of a Daily Mail story-- 10 Celebrities Who Are Said To Smell Awful. I think the bar has been raised (lowered? Not sure how to measure height of shallowness).
