Can the case be made for Lorenzo Neal for HOF, given the spate of multiple 1000-yard RBs he blocked for (Murrell, Eddie, LT, et al.)?

    No. 03,

Shanahan and Stevens ... there are players that should be in ahead of them that aren't

    Like who, Robbie Shremp?

The game is played outside the Alberta provincial borders.

Yeah, there are players who should go in ahead of Shanahan (99, 66, guys who wore 9 in Detroit and Montreal) but Mimico's own would rank in the top 25 percent of players enshrined. 600 freakin' goals, three Cups, an Olympic gold and a great fighter in his day. Whatever role he played in the new rules--even if he just paid for the catering, like he says--he should get credit for that too.

I'd have him in there just ahead of Joe Mullen, Bernie Federko and Michel Goulet. /withering sarcasm

The numbers dwindle when you get around to Stevens.

Ahead of him ... Orr, Harvey, Bourque, Potvin, Robinson, Fetisov, Park maybe. Not a lot more. Comparable to Horton (but to my mind better). Way ahead of Salming, Murphy, Lapointe and a lot of other Ds who are worthy.

    Random HOPG:

Vada Pinson, Joe Rudi, Vida Blue, Bobby Grich (BJamesian HOFer), Davey Johnson, Paul Blair, Claude Provost (is he in? he should be), not Paul Henderson, Steve Busby (couldashoulda), Bob McAdoo, Randy Smith, Bobby Jones, Calvin Murphy, Rico Petrocelli, Kevin Lowe, Ted Simmons, John Jefferson, Louis Kelcher, Claude Lemieux, Sergei Zubov, Bob Boone, Frank White, Fred Carr, Gary Bergman (great in '72), Lester Hayes, Jack Tatum and George Atkinson

    YHS, etc

Those who say Scott Steven's isn't a HOF'er, he'd like to meet you at the blue line.
