I'll second that. Unless it's the Hall of Fame For Divas Who Manage To Make Every Catch Look Like The Second Coming Of Mays In '54.

    Patently absurd, as usual.

Bledsoe in that game: 10-18, 102 yds, 1 TD
Brady in that game: 12-18, 115 yds

And Bledsoe entered the game with the Pats at the Steelers 40 following a 28-yard pass to Troy Brown by Brady, who, as you point out, was going nowhere in that game. Bledsoe threw three completions on the scoring drive and did little the rest of the game.

But you're probably right. Tom Brady, now only known as the best big-game QB since Joe Montana, would have failed that day where Drew Bledsoe, master of the wrong throw at the wrong time, succeeded.

It was the Steelers in an AFC title game at home. Spergon Wynn could have led the Pats to victory in those conditions.

To stop yet another Steelers threadjack ... Harold Baines.

He'd have a hard time even getting into the HOPG nowadays.

Great one ... the suggestion I mean. Perfectly defines Hall of Good.

Just for fun, I'm going to name one or more Hall of Good baseball players per team from my own era, the 1980s ...

    Brewers -- Cecil Cooper
    Red Sox -- Dwight Evans
Orioles -- Mike Flanagan, Scott McGregor
Yankees -- Don Mattingly, Ron Guidry
Blue Jays -- George Bell, Dave Stieb, Tony Fernandez
Tigers -- Lance Parrish, Dan Petry, Darrell Evans
Indians -- Andre Thornton, Julio Franco
    A's -- Dwayne Murphy
    Mariners -- Mark Langston
Rangers -- Al Oliver (could be listed for several other teams), Buddy Bell
Angels -- Brian Downing, Doug DeCinces, Bobby Grich, Mike Witt, Bert Blyleven (Angels have had a LOT of Hall of Good players through the years)
    Twins -- Blyleven, Kent Hrbek
    White Sox -- Baines
Royals -- Frank White, Willie Wilson, Bret Saberhagen, Dan Quisenberry
Phillies -- Garry Maddox, Bob Boone
    Cubs -- Mark Grace
Cardinals -- George Hendrick, Bob Forsch
Expos -- Tim Wallach, Steve Rogers
Mets -- Ron Darling, Mookie Wilson
Pirates -- Tony Pena, Bill Madlock
Reds -- Dave Parker, Tom Browning
Dodgers -- Orel Hersheiser, Ron Cey, Mike Scioscia
    Padres -- Garry Templeton
Astros -- Jose Cruz, Joe Niekro, Terry Puhl,
Braves -- Dale Murphy (not a HOFer to me)
Giants -- Jack Clark, Chili Davis

    NBA 80s version ...

Sixers -- Andrew Toney, Mo Cheeks
Celtics -- Danny Ainge (highly overrated when bandied about as a HOFer, but good), Cedric Maxwell
    Knicks -- Bill Cartwright
    Nets -- Otis Birdsong
Bullets -- Jeff Malone, Jeff Ruland
Bucks -- Marques Johnson (in my book, he's the man, but no HOFer), Junior Bridgeman, Paul Pressey
Pistons -- Kelly Tripucka, Vinnie Johnson
Bulls -- Dave Corzine, Orlando Woolridge
Cavs -- World B. Free, Mike Mitchell
Hawks -- Doc Rivers, Kevin Willis, the bad Eddie Johnson
Pacers -- Clark Kellogg, Chuck Person
Nuggets -- Fat Lever, Kiki Vandeweghe
Spurs -- Johnny Moore, Alvin Robertson
Rockets -- Ralph Sampson (I know he was a No. 1 overall pick bust, but he wasn't incompetent either, 21 ppg the year before they had Olajuwon)
Mavericks -- Jay Vincent, Mark Aguirre
Jazz -- Mark Eaton, Darrell Griffith, Rickey Green
Kings -- the good Eddie Johnson, Otis Thorpe, Mike Woodson
Lakers -- Jamaal Wilkes, Norm Nixon, Byron Scott, A.C. Green
Clippers -- none. With the exception perhaps of Terry Cummings, everyone they had in the 80s was better somewhere else.
Blazers -- Jim Paxson, Mychal Thompson, Jerome Kersey
Suns -- Alvan Adams, Larry Nance, Walter Davis
Sonics -- Gus Williams, Tom Chambers, Fred Brown
Warriors -- Purvis Short, Sleepy Floyd, Joe Barry Carroll

I thought it was a Patriots-jack. I mean, the debate did revolve around Tom Brady and Drew Bledsoe. Anyway ...

Why not? NFL Hall of Good in the 80s ...

Packers -- Lynn Dickey, Gerry Ellis, John Anderson
Bears -- Jim McMahon, Dave Duerson
Lions -- Doug English, Billy Sims
Vikings -- Tommy Kramer, Anthony Carter, Scott Studwell
    Bucs -- Doug Williams
Giants -- Earnest Gray, Phil Simms (overrated as a HOF candidate, way too inconsistent)
Redskins -- Gary Clark, Joe Theismann
Cowboys -- Everson Walls, Doug Cosbie, Danny White
Cardinals -- Roy Green, Neil Lomax, Pat Tilley, Luis Sharpe
Eagles -- Ron Jaworski, Mike Quick
Falcons -- Alfred Jenkins, Scott Case, Steve Bartkowski, William Andrews (HOFer had he not got hurt)
49ers -- Dwight Hicks, Keena Turner, Fred Dean, Dwight Clark, Wendell Tyler
Rams -- Nolan Cromwell, Jim Everett, Henry Ellard, Kevin Greene
Saints -- Dave Waymer, Bobby Hebert
Colts -- Ray Donaldson, Chris Hinton, Curtis Dickey
Bills -- Joe Ferguson, Fred Smerlas, Joe Cribbs
Jets -- Wesley Walker, Al Toon, Ken O'Brien, Marty Lyons
Dolphins -- John Offerdahl, Mark Clayton, Mark Duper
Patriots -- Stanley Morgan, Steve Grogan, Raymond Clayborn
    Raiders -- Jim Plunkett
Chiefs -- Bill Kenney, Gary Barbaro, Deron Cherry
Broncos -- Steve Watson, Tom Jackson
Seahawks -- Curt Warner, Dave Brown
Chargers -- James Brooks, Wes Chandler
Browns -- Earnest Byner, Mike Pruitt, Clay Matthews
Bengals -- Reggie Williams, Ken Anderson
Steelers -- Mike Merriweather, Louis Lipps
Oilers -- Ernest Givens, Doug Smith

If you see any glaring omissions, it probably means I think they should be a HOFer ... or they suck. One or another.

Would love to have seen what Sims and Warner would have been if they stayed healthy.

    What about John Jefferson?
