Um, who said anything about that?

Ever since the Bills started noising about playing some games in Toronto, there have been rumors that's their destination.

There will be a CFL team in Owen Sound - the Grey-Bruce Harbs - before there is one in Buffalo.

And talk of the NFL in Toronto started long before the Bills started playing up here.

The problem is that if the NFL gives Toronto a team then Cleveland's going to want one too.

I disagree with your perception of U.S. fail. When the CFL came across the border, it did so with many teams.
Select expansion -- a Buffalo, maybe a Portland -- could work much in the way expansion into the U.S. did for the OHL and WHL. A little at first and with thought.
But yeah, Canadian cities deserve a shot

How do the LA people propose to pay for their stadium? Do they really think they can get it done without public financing?

Baltimore was certainly a CFL success story.

This is the Bills we're talking about. Wouldn't they lose in the Grey Cup rather than be champs?

Slappy, with possibly the exception of the Baltimore team, it was pretty much a disaster.

And times have changed since that last bit of expansion under Larry Smith.

There isn't the feeling in the league (or in the country) that the CFL can only validate its worth by having a footprint in the US.

And most CFL fans would scream blue murder if a team went to Buffalo before we had one in our nation's capital.

It would be a pr nightmare for the league.

Bollocks. We've gone 15 years without one (or at one time, two) in our pop cultural capital. The NF League is none the worse for wear.

True. Much like two previous attempts at baseball in Washington that didn't draw well, if it doesn't draw, then it's time to look elsewhere.

    One can argue three.
