The 2008 Rays' tears cure cancer. Unfortunately, the 2008 Rays never cry.

I'm really curious. Were Buck and McCarver gushing all over the Rays tonight or something?

You're right. When got sick of Bob Abreu's crap and decided to unload him for a bucket of baseballs a couple of years ago, the Yankees wouldn't have had the room under the cap to take him. Maybe Philly would have gotten something useful for him instead.

(Hey, if you can bring that shit up on every single thread, I can allow myself a reach or two. hehe)

Hey, you're forgetting who couldn't afford Abreu in the first place, and traded him to the Phillies.....

You mean those 10 minutes he was with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, the franchise that had to die and give us the greatness that is the Tampa Bay Rays!?

Yeah, they traded him for Kevin Stocker, who was the nicest man I ever interviewed. Pulled up a chair for me and everything. Probably didn't have many people talking to him.

Wow, that's even more of a reach than my post.

Would they have been better off if they had actually gotten something of value for Abreu? Yes.

Thanks for playing. Have a nice night
