    i never got this whole "sell-out" thing

    why shouldn't an artist want people to hear his music and make money of his work?

    most of 'em sure as hell ain't making any from selling CDs or playing gigs

    they deserve every penny they can get

    How could everyone overlook Eric Clapton's synth-laden remake of After Midnight for a Budweiser commercial in the mid 80s?

    Most bands only make money off touring, though. But I agree, get it while you can.

    The record companies, or at least the companies that own record labels, sure aren't doing anything to help acts that aren't pre-packaged crap.
