    Nice one, Az.

Good to know with everything else in this crazy world changing by the second, I can count on you to keep your eye on the ball.

    That's completely fair.

I would be very happy if they ever came up with something that is worth a shit. I'm sick of lightbulbs that don't provide light, toilets that don't flush and hybrid cars that most of us can't afford.

Corruption, or ineptitude, doesn't mean the technology itself is unviable.

Teapot Dome didn't disprove the value of petroleum or internal combustion.

You want to hack away at the administration for dishonesty or graft or stupidity? Have at it.

Doesn't mean solar power doesn't work.

Where was all the conservative outrage when Enron held a gun to California's head...and then went bankrupt?

Oh, wait, where was Enron based?

Currently, it doesn't work very well. It's not cost effective, and needs to be subsidized.

It's not clear it will ever be cost effective.

    It's not always sunny.

As the globe heats up solar power should become more viable.

Oil receives plenty of indirect subsidies through tax breaks, which should outrage all of us considering the profits the companies are taking in.
