I've got a summer 2008 drive trip planned from Eugene to Phoenix (hitting Crater Lake, The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, The Four Corners and Monument Valley along the way) over two weeks with my kids.

A couple segments of Frugal I will be watching closely.

Also, any suggestions will be welcomed heartily.

Crater Lake is nice that time of year, and remember to feed the squirrels. Depending on your route, a day on a houseboat in Shasta Lake would be fun, and you can't go wrong with hiking and biking in Mammoth in the summer.
