I have a hot date this weekend. A movie. I get to pick.

I'll probably see the other two eventually but an actual movie in an actual theater - that's a big deal around these parts.

So which one should we see?

Saw True Grit over the weekend. Really liked it. Haven't seen the other two.

    The Fighter/The Green Hornet/True Grit?

"One of these things is not like the other. One of these things just doesn't belong ..." ;D

The Fighter and True Grit are both fantastic. The Green Hornet has "wait for DVD" written all over it.

In the mood for a western with some laughs? True Grit.

In the mood for a well-acted, sports movie? The Fighter.

    True Grit > The Fighter

Haven't seen The Green Hornet but I can't imagine it being any good.

Knowing nothing about your date and what she likes, I'll say this: I had a choice between The Fighter and True Grit, and I chose True Grit. It was awesome.

So if you ever have a date with n_w, Moddy, you're all set.

Having seen all three, you can't go wrong with The Fighter or True Grit. You my go wrong with the Green Hornet.

My wife had never watched a western all the way through until we went to see True Grit the other day.
    She loved it.
For a date movie especially -- and I haven't seen the other two films -- you can't go wrong with True Grit.

I wouldn't want my date oogling Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg for a couple of hours.
So True Grit, by all means.

True Grit is good, but the plot isn't much different from the original.

Green Hornet is terrible. Don't see it unless you really like seeing Seth Rogan acting like Seth Rogan.

    True Grit- Great

Green Hornet- Sucks. But it's in 3D if you're in to that.
