The Fighter, is a drama about boxer "Irish" Micky Ward's unlikely road to the world welterweight title. His Rocky-like rise was shepherded by half-brother Dicky, a boxer-turned-trainer who rebounded in life after nearly being KO'd by drugs and crime.

Not excited about the cast but I love boxing movies so I'll probably go see it.

 

This looks like another 'Blind Side 'for 2011. I hardly recognized Christian Bale since Batman and the Oscar voters love supporting characters who lose tons of weight for a role. Hopefully the Gatti bloodbath will make the final cut

 

100 percent chance I see this.

 

Boxers are fascinating people.

 

One of the guys I work with is a boxer. While I like him, he is far from fascinating.

 

It's a bit of a fascinating person to see it in another.

 

He is driven by money and women. Not fascinating.

 

You seem to know him inside out.

 

When you ask someone what drives them and they respond with, "money and pussy," you tend to believe them.

 

Isn't that what drives all of us?

 

They shot this in Lowell, Massachusetts (obviously) and my brother and I were extras in the film. Very curious to see if we made it in the final cut or not.
