The epidemic of bad stand-up comedy

One who is doing it well is Bill Burr, whose Comedy Central special last week was one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time.

But Smasher's point stands. One hour listening to XM 150 bears that out: about two really funny comedians in that hour, probably three mildly humorous ones and unfunny crap filling out the remaining 40-plus minutes.

I believe in unfunny, drug-induced ramblings with a terrible delivery and an annoying person doing said delivery.

So yes. I believe in Mitch Hedberg.

I saw his standup routine on, I think, Comedy Central, and only chuckled a few times before I gave up. But he's actually not bad as an actor, I hate to admit. I thought he was pretty good in that Kevin Costner serial killer movie whose name I can't remember. Mr. Smith? Something like that.
