A tennis player that shows passion on the court and likes to win...gee, weren't Johnny Mac and Jimmy Connors huge stars back in the heydey of tennis?

 

Yes but they didn't also make clothes so it's entirely different. Plus their butts weren't as big.

 

Really don't want to see "slurp" used unless it has a literal meaning.

Jimmy Connors was another product of a stage/sports-fixated parent, and it took him years to recover.

And Johnny Mac's public persona remains nothing to be proud of, even today.

 

She's 30 years old. I think you stop being darling at some point, or precocious, or whatever you want to call her behavior, and grow up.

 

The flag fell. She smiled and laughed a bit and said it was "flying to come hug me because the flag was so happy." I thought that was indeed darling.

What was your suggested grown-up way of handling that?
