The Endless Loopy/Serena Slurp

Yes, the guy was one of the 184,387 people who figured out early that the Williams sisters could play tennis, and play it exceptionally well. That doesn't excuse the endless sustained praise for someone as selfish, petulant, classless, and allthespinshouldbeinMYfavor as Serena.

    Class matters. Deal with it.

Don't know how you couldn't slurp her for yesterday's performance.

Yeah, she was pretty damn impressive.

Yes, yesterday was slurp-worthy. But we're talking a career Ph.D. in slurpdom, and given her consistent levels of deportment, she doesn't deserve it.

I love Serena. She is always entertaining, even in her moments of outrage, and she has achieved a far sight more than people want to credit her for achieving. Because YOU believe she should have done more with her career takes nothing away from her career.

    And yesterday she was darling.

We're talking Loopy's notes segment appearing below his 8/5 NYDN column.

Serena inherited her broad lack of class from her father. Apple, tree, etc. It's all just too bad.
She boasts a world of physical talent, but it's impossible to root for her, given her broad public attitude.

Some people think the Williams sisters deserve to be knocked and criticized for all things at all times. No matter what.

It's just chapter 1,897 of Loopy breaking his arm patting himself on the back for being on a particular bandwagon early -- as if he were the only one.

The great, powerful and omniscient Loopy frequently ain't all that G/P/O.

How did that no-defense strategy for the Knicks that you were plumping for all those years work with Mike Di, Mikey?

I remember when Loopy was on the Steve Phelps GM bandwagon.
