    The Boston Globe ran an excellent series a couple of years ago about an Iraqi kid who was paralyzed (and whose parents were killed) when U.S. troops mistook them for suicide bombers. An American doctor pulled strings to bring him to Boston for treatment, and he walked again before going back to Iraq.

    The story doesn't have a happy ending.
