That's pretty damn quick. Usually it takes a couple hours for the corporate switchboards to get lit up.

Which is also why I wonder if he's sitting at home thinking "what did I do?"

If you are a hockey fan in Pittsburgh there is no better voice among talk radio people in the market because he is such a huge shill for the Penguins and hockey and he is friends with the players and the coaches and whatnot.

At the same time, he is so abrasive some times it is hard to listen to even when he is talking hockey, which is clearly the one subject he is well versed in.

The problem 1250 has is -- who would they get to replace him and generate the ratings he gets?

Like Jim Rome, he has a cult-like following of loyal listeners who are not likely to take to kindly to many other personalities because like him, they are a bunch of beer swilling yinzers.

I'd be shocked if he is let go.

He gets ratings, yes, but advertising is low.
That's what he doesn't want you to know.

I saw those baked bean teeth in high def while flipping channels the other day.

Does he even get his teeth cleaned?

Forget Mellon ... the whole city of Pittsburgh will smell better.

After one idiotic comment he made on the NFL Network, he's mud in my book, too. Shoots from the lip, he does. In the most uninformed way possible.

He's been mud for me since he showed up on WCW Monday Nitro a decade ago. And I think that by then I had already heard of him and already decided he sucked, despite never having been to Pittsburgh.
