    That makes me wish I'd been around back then or even earlier. Although I love modern medicine, the internet and indoor toilets, I've always thought it would have been cool to be around back in the days when the writers traveled on trains with the teams.

    Birks have never been my "dress" attire - they're my lounging shoes.

    Photo is from Sept. 1962 at Yankee Stadium. I think I can identify a few of those guys.

    And no, I'm not one of them ... at that point, that photo was my dream.
