Chris, I was at Marching Mizzou practice at Missouri that afternoon. Several of us had radios (clearly weren't paying close attention at band practice).

    We went nuts.

Colin K having to take a time out because they couldn’t get the play off, and the game winning play was called.

I was sitting in left field and the ball went over my head. He hit the shit out of it. I was friends with Niedenfuer and I knew that he had nothing left. Lasorda could never manage a bullpen. Niedenfuer was getting 3-inning saves in blowout wins. His arm was a rag by the end of the season.

Not calling a foul on MJ for the push off. A few things change, perhaps significantly, if that’s called a foul.

Since Giants are playing the Eagles today, a perfect opportunity to remember the time that Joe Pisarcik didn’t tell his offensive coordinator to go F himself.
