No, 'There Will Be Blood' and 'No Country for Old Men' were both better.

    Loaded question.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is a masterpiece.

A Batman popcorn flick is not.

I can understand the preference for Ironman, which was more accessible and fun. I prefer The Dark Knight of the two, but I like dark, moody stuff.

I just had several big problems with Ironman that kept me from walking out of the theater as excited as I was after TDK. Quickly, those problems were: it was predictable, full-fledged Ironman is only in two scenes and the ending was weak (Ironman saved by his secretary??).

It had some memorable scenes, but I walked out saying, "It was good, but Ironman 2 will be so much better."

Oops, I was missing a 'not' in my initial post.
    Fixed.

I'd say definitely best since No Country.

(Quick side note - guy I know went and saw Dark Knight the other day. Said he was very disappointed. I was stunned.)

It was a good movie, but I can understand somebody being disappointed if he/she believes the outrageous hype.

I agree with you. I thought Dark Knight was a much better film. I'm just saying I can understand why some people might have more fun watching Ironman.

Hell, plenty of people will say Wall-E was better.

If The Dark Knight came out last year, would Ledger get an Oscar nom? I think the dearth of really good movies this year makes TDK look that much better.

And have. WALL-E is 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. TDK's 95%.
