Pretty good take on the recent RG3 "news" and, really, how the media handles situations and athletes like this. It was only a matter of time before we all got tired of seeing and hearing how great and wonderful RG3 is. One confusing quote later, and suddenly RG3 is a diva and needs to pipe down and know his role.

"It's all a big, stupid cycle."

I was, however, glad to see the writer acknowledge his employer's role in all of this media stupidity.

More than that, he's somehow been employed in some capacity by multiple sports networks since he stopped throwing footballs into the ground.

It's a weekly feature at Grantland, written by the same author as the RG3 piece, with this intro:

"Every now and then, we will attempt to write the worst sports column on earth."

So much sports writing is so incredibly stupid. Pick an era. Yes, some of it is great. Some. But it doesn't matter what era you pick, you can be blown away by the stupidity of so much of it.

Most of the time, everyone's racing to be the first to write something stupid.

    That was actually pretty funny.
