I don't think we declared a winner, because we all suspected someone else was full of shit. We all might have been. Ultimately was a total letdown, for there was no ending like the one in 40 days and 40 nights, a god-awful movie if I've ever seen one. The only person I've ever met at a laundromat is a homeless guy looking to get out of the cold.

The best episode ever. Of any show.
    Men have to do it
    Women do it too
    Not everyday

I didn't believe my friend for a second, and I'm not sure he believed me, either. But I know I won. I'd even watch porn to tempt myself, just to test my will. I regretted every time I did that.

I believe it won an Emmy -- Seinfeld's only Emmy.

Without a doubt, especially because the episode was almost never made. Jerry and Larry had "The Contest" on the chalkboard for months before they pitched the idea to the execs. They didn't think there was a chance it'd be OK'd. Thankfully, they were wrong.

According to Wikipedia, not the best source in the world, an episode called "The Fix-up" won an emmy for outstanding writing in 1992

I didn't know that. I'm sure it's correct. But I just don't recall it from the DVDs. That was a good episode, though. "A pinkish hue?"

    Awesome.

What kind of hair? ... Thick, lustrous hair is very important to me.
