The Comedy Central Roast of.......

Has "epic" now succeeded "fail" as the most overused used-to-be-cool word?

 

Was that the one where Norm read a newspaper the entire time he was on stage while the other roasters talked? I thought that was as cutting as any of the remarks he made when it was his turn. I love Norm.

 

I don't know boys, there's some pretty funny material on these roasts.

And just to set the record straight--the Dean Martin roasts could be pretty cheesy at times. Need we bring in Foster Brooks to do his drunk impression as a reminder?

Seems like they are more like brothers from a different generation.

 

Shatner at the end was pretty damn funny too.

"Oh, and for the last time George (Takei), I WILL NOT LET YOU SUCK MY COCK!"

The funniest closing comment of all was at Leary's roast; Denis gets up, looks around at the roasters, "fuck you, fuck you, fuck you son of a bitch, fuck you, fuck you, and fuck you!"

 

I don't agree.

 

That pretty well proves the point that was made earlier: The shit isn't very funny.

 

They're on Comedy Central for a reason...to get away with that "filth" on cable. This ain't NBC, and this ain't Ted Danson and Whoopi Goldberg in black-face.

The Shatner roast, the Leary, and the Flava Flav were low-brow and funny at it's crude best. Betty White still stands out as the best roaster of them all, with Cloris behind her.

Ross and Giraldo are in a class by themselves.

And no, I wouldn't fuck Lisa Lampanelli, and I'm black!

I can't wait for the Hoff roast. He's going to get lit up.

 

They also usually show an unbleeped version at some point after midnight.
