The "chunky" OKC cheerleader

Thanks, 3_O_F ... Was merely telling stories about others' reactions, not mine. They're all just students to me.

 

I can in all honesty say that I have never had a student even get in the zip code of trying that. It wouldn't work, anyway, but I've never had a sense that a student was even going there. I think I give off this no-nonsense vibe, which suits me just fine.

 

OK, just checking. I've seen some movies where it's worked so I was wondering if it was an art-imitates-life kinda thing.

 

There was an international doctoral student at my doctoral-granting university who got caught up in something like that. I can't remember his discipline or his native country, but he got caught canoodling with students he was teaching -- as I recall he might have actually been manipulating grades in exchange for favors -- and not only was he kicked out of school, he was brought up on criminal charges (it's often illegal to "profit" by giving away/trading grades) and ultimately was sent back home, because he'd lost his visa.

 

You failed her on principle? Rules is rules I guess, seems like there could have been a fairer solution.

 

I've seen those too. Usually, they have a happy ending.

If OKC gets a WNBA team, they could call them the Thunder Thighs, and she could be the mascot.
