The cast comes off tomorrow

And the pin comes out! With any luck, I'll be two-hand typing by Tuesday morning.

 

And shortly after that, you;ll be back to one-hand typing, the other hand free to do whatever it wants...

Not thatthere's anything wrong with that...

 

I better see some softball stats within two weeks.

 

Ha, boys. I hope I'll be OK to play by July ... 3 hours to go ...

 

Oh my does my hand look bad. About two inches of stitches from the V joint at the thumb. The pin was sticking out about 1.5 cm to the left of that line. The doc just yarded the pin ... no anesthetic, no freezing, no nothin'. It only twinged for a few seconds. No, I didn't watch.

So now I'm home, waiting for the occupational therapist to call for me to go back, get a splint and some exercises for my hand. It's still pretty stiff.

Doc wouldn't stop talking about how bad I had done my thumb ... apparently pulled it right out of the Bennet's joint -- whatever that means.

 

Exercises for your hand?? Hmmmm...

 

Hahaha, funny. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm three or four weeks more off the ball field.

 

He was talking about the ball field?

 

I'd normally laugh at this, but I figure I'll wait a year then give you an LOL.

 

With two hands, it's back to minding the stepchildren.
