    Threads on labour unions and capital punishment are as predictable as this but this is a runaway winner in the whine department.

    How is it whining?
    If the point is being made that teachers work hard and suffer long hours for little pay, how is whining to point out that other people in other professions do the same?

    Uh, because there's a very strong feeling of resentment against teachers among certain posters on this board.

    Well, you've been involved in a lot more political discussion around here than I have, so I won't comment on previous discussions.
    I just didn't take the current discussion that way.
    Maybe I'm not as cynical as I think I am? All this time I thought I was jaded, but I'm actually naive?
