Speaking of the Coen Bros., anyone else looking forward to Joel and Ethan do Cormac McCarthy's No Country for Old Men?
Big Lebowski aside, most of their movies have a weird darkness to them, a sense of malevolence that ought to jibe well with McCarthy's whole "there's evil in the world beyond that which you or I can reckon with" theme. Due out later this year.

The best line is when Bunny, aptly played by a fetching Tara Reid, tells The Dude she'll "(perform oral sex) for $1,000" and then add an additional fee (which at the moment I forget) if Brandt, the personal assistant to the other Lebowski, gets to watch.

Brandt (Phillip Seymour Hoffman) leads The Dude away from the swimming pool, and he goes, "I'm just gonna find a cash machine."

Movie is full of those kind of moments.

    Caen Brothers rule.

Double down, that vid is hypnotizing. I can't stop looking at it.

I need to go away for awhile.

The Big Lebowski is one of my favorites.

Get beyond the almost constant stream of "fuck" and there are some great one-liners...

    "obviously, you're not a golfer..."

Love Lebowski, hate Napoleon Dynamite. Like O Brother more every time I see it. My all-time favorites are Godfather II and Animal House.
    And IJAG, Citizen Kane rules.

I think I'm weird for a woman. The first three DVDs I bought (in order) were:

    1) O Brother, Where Art Thou
    2) Almost Famous
    3) The Big Lebowski

These were quickly followed by Apocolypse Now Redux, Oz Season 1 and Homicide Seasons 1 & 2.

Edit: I take that back. I'm just weird.

HC, you and I could have a good movie night. I'm a woman, too. LOVED season 1 of Oz.
