I'm not going to put this on the Rocky thread, but there's a lot of great timely insight from former RMN columnist and current Indy Star columnist Bob Kravitz in this interview.

I met Kravitz at a Super Bowl a few years back. Seemed like a good guy. I have long admired his work. Had no idea he worked at SI for a spell.

Good on TBL for writing something that draws no ridicule.

    For once.

Football - Have you seen some of TBL's work lately? The guy is pulling interviews with the likes of Al Michaels and Roger Goodell. He does plenty of good work.

  7. Bobby's one of the good ones. His book on the first year of the Rockies is a nice piece of work.
Still gets out on the ice, as I recall.

And here's his take today on the RMN:

At first glance I thought the Big Lead interviewed Bob Cratchit.

Bob always had time for this IDS reporter during his early time in Indy and my last year in Bloomington.

He tells great stories, including the long version of interviewing Knight. Hilarious. The stories from his early days of galavanting and socializing are just as funny.

And I'm glad he didn't write about Saturday.

There was a time not long ago on here when a mere mention of TBL would draw a cascade of Fozzy Bear photos.
