LaMelo might be eligible to play at the juco level, which is a lot more forgiving about European kids who play for the under-19 team of a pro club. Quite a few Euro kids play two years of juco and then find out the NCAA considers them pros.

But in this case, Melo wasn't playing for a U19 team and he may have been earning more than a food stipend. Even jucos might say no.

LaMelo isn't good enough at the game of basketball to set foot on the court for anything above a middle-level D-2 team.

That's not at all true. Li'Angelo is by far the worst of the Ball brothers and he was a solid mid-major talent if Lavar would just get out of the way. LaMelo has potential to be very good if Dad doesn't ruin it for him.

Talking about him playing any level of college ball is pointless though. It will be G-League for him.

Yah, my mistake, I mixed them up. (Again.) LiAngelo is the Fredo brother.

Ethics aside, what "media outlet" would pay that much money for what amounts to a highlight package? And especially a highlight package that requires so much signage for the event sponsor that you really don't even own it?
Does anyone give that much of a shit about an AAU tournament?

Is it okay to root for injuries, to the father?

Now that Big Baller Brand is such a huge success, Adidas, Nike and Reebok probably will have a bidding war to see who gets to
    sign Lonzo for 1 billion.

The one for the Lakers is out 4-6 weeks with a sprained ankle.
If he was wearing a NIKE that gave him some ankle support instead of the high-priced Costco shoes he was wearing, he wouldn't have this problem.

    Predictably enough...

LaVar wants Suns, not Pelicans if Lonzo dealt

"We want to be in L.A.," LaVar Ball told ESPN. "But if he's traded, I don't want Lonzo in New Orleans. Phoenix is the best fit for him. And I am going to speak it into existence."
