    All in person:

    Baseball: Nolan Ryan
    Football: Maybe Eric Dickerson. Uggh.
    Basketball: Magic Johnson
Hockey: Wayne Gretzky (but Mario Lemieux is damn close)
    College football: Dennis Dixon
    College basketball: Gary Payton
    F1 Racing: Michael Schumacher
    Soccer: Johan Cruyff

Cruyff and Schumacher were the most dominant, by far.

High school football: Calvin Johnson (it wasn't even fair, and I'm talking about his junior year when no one knew who he was)

It says best you've ever seen, not best you think about late at night while posting on SportsJournalists.com.

Emmitt Smith fills three categories for me, all the footballs.

And if there was a league of football beyond the NFL, he would have been a star in it, too.

    Man, that gets tiresome.

I have some of Ryan's work in a stack of stuff at home – other people's work that i like – and odds are it's better that YOU could do.
