    The most impressive athletes I've ever covered at least once were probably Lance Armstrong and Tiger Woods, and watching Justin Gatlin sprint was a stunning experience. Maybe that's just because I've become accustomed to seeing ridiculously big, fast and strong athletes in football and basketball.

    Most dominating individual performance in any sport I've ever seen in person was Tiger Woods at 2000 US Open.

    Baseball would be Mays and/or Koufax, football Jim Brown, basketball Russell v. Chamberlain.

    High school basketball: Patrick Ewing
    Tennis: Bjorn Borg (Have never seen Federer in person).
    College football: Doug Flutie
    College basketball: Dominating? I dunno. Most amazing and fun, that'd be Michael Adams at BC in the 1980s.
