This is the best song by Styx. Still stands the test of time. Video too. Funny guys.

    REM

    Neil Young and Crazy Horse

Neil Young guesting on Stipe’s favourite REM song and laying it down on a travel guitar

My choice for best Bowie song:

Never a fan of Styx - man, were they huge when I was in high school - but this song still sounds great:

Solid pick but I'd go with "Cry Like a Rainstorm," or "Sweet and Shiny Eyes."

It’s a cover, but I might go “Angel from Montgomery”. I’m sentimental though, and it was a great bond between her and Prine. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them switch the verses they sing in different performances.

The bizarro lyrics, complex, layered instrumentation, nervy funk rhythms are all here:

Hard to pick "best by" Fiona because her catalogue of excellence is vast. If I had to ...

The answer is Suite Madame Blue. All of Styx into one tune.

    - Tommy Shaw harmonies
    - DDY bombast and theatrics
    - Keyboard magic
    - James Young ripping on guitar
    - Not-so-subtle themes and symbolism that still connect
