    In fairness, tornadoes in Oklahoma and points nearby just never strike with that much clear air. They are often rain-wrapped and appear on the back side of a hook echo supercell with a massive hail shield preceding it. Storm chasers prefer to pursue from the back side but often encounter debris with touchdowns.
