Pujols missed three weeks -- not six.

Recent history says people are getting smarter and not voting based on home runs and RBIs. That's why Jones didn't win last year.

Howard is in a much better lineup than Pujols. Howard gets many more RBI chances than Pujols. Thus, Howard gets more RBIs. Howard will also strike out about 120 times more, hit for a lower average and won't get on base as often.

Rickey Henderson was an incredible offensive player. He led the league in OPS and stole 65 bases in 1990.

The Red Sox are rubble, destroyed like Pompeii. Today's lineup:

    Coco Crisp CF
    Alex Cora SS
    Mark Loretta 2B
    Kevin Youkilis LF
    Mike Lowell 3B
    Eric Hinske DH
    Javy Lopez C
    Carlos Pena 1B
    Donald Murphy RF

    Kevin Jarvis SP
    Lenny DiNardo RP
    Craig Breslow RP

    Good night, and good luck!

Obviously... since Pujols was such a superior defensive player at such a tougher position than Jones. [/sarcasm]

Baseball writers are the worst of the four sports in handing out the hardware.

Jones would have to be Spider-Man and rob 25 home runs a season to make up for the offensive difference between the two. [/not sarcasm]

And hasn't Jones slowed down dramatically in the field? He's a fucking load.

    This year, he definitely has.

Pujols had my vote, too, last year.

The pitching deficient Mets beat pitching loaded Houston, 4-2.

Yeah, the barely pop-gun 'Stros are to be feared. Feared.
