    Seventh inning, both before and after "God Bless America," he protested a wide discrepency in the strike zone between Tigers and Yankees pitchers. Watching that game, he had good reason to be upset.

    Of course, if Pujols finishes in the top three in each of the Triple Crown categories, and if the Cards make the playoffs while the Phillies don't ...

    That about sums it up.

    I never did see the umps give an ejection sign (and neither did the announcers). But it could have happened during the commercial break.

    If the Phils lose the wild card by one game, tonight's loss to the Nats will haunt them all winter.
    They gave up two in the ninth and two more in the 10th.

    Nats' first win in 13 or so weeks.

    If Philly takes the Wild Card, it's gotta be Howard. But the Cardinals lineup is pure chicken shit without Pujols...doesn't that define "MVP?"
