    But Goose? Absolutely.

    And I HATE the Yankees.

    Gossage, Blyleven (60 freaking shutouts), maybe Dawson.

    Rice was one-dimensional player who didn't last long enough and was, as stated above, a surly prick. It drives him nuts that the writers stand between him and Cooperstown, and most who had to cover him at any point know this is a perfect hell for him to endure.

    Raines might make it in time. But since so many media folks get hot and bothered about the alleged super-elite who make it in their "first year of eligibility," it makes you want to wait on a close call like Raines.

    Unless you think Willie Mays and Willie Stargell should be mentioned in the same breath.
