    I shouldn't be surprised anymore, but it stuns and depresses me that with all the supposed financial woes of media corporations, there's always enough money to bring Jarvis aboard as an adviser or consultant.

    And now he's an "entrepreneurial journalism" instructor for CUNY? There really is a sucker born every minute.

    A sharply-written, biting piece of commentary by The Baffler, as usual.

    I've got a bunch of their issues from the 1990s, when Thomas Frank was cranking away for them, and need to check out their latest issue (and maybe re-read some of the old ones ... see how their commentary holds up with time).
