She knew there was only one way she could stop Steve from starting an "Ask Drunk McNair" thread on SJ.....

And he didn't get drunk in the house. He got drunk at a couple of bars (he was out until 1 a.m. or so the night of the murder). Considering he was plastered a couple days after the woman he was dating got a DUI -- in a vehicle he was also, apparently, drunk in -- it could point to something that pushed Kazemi over the edge.
It'd be more relevant if she had a BAC that high, but I think this is newsworthy.

"Hmmm Air McNair hasn't posted on this thread since 1 am. Guess he passed out and went to sleep."

    (too soon?)

Before anybody laments this story and berates the big, bad media for making such a big deal of it, please remember that -- at least in its first version -- it amounted to five paragraphs.

How so? It's stating a fact for comparison's sake.

Would you have preferred "as a skunk"?

The headline alone was misleading saying "McNair was twice over the limit when killed." To ADD afflicted readers who are unaware about the McNair situation, they'd believe that he was driving under the influence when killed rather than being in his apartment.

If he was sober, he could have dodged the bullet. ;D

How could they tell that it was "twice over the limit when killed"? His body was not found for what 8- 12 hours later. By that point he would have been dead cold sober. I would also think that losing a lot of blood would distort things.

Drunk or sober, here's what Tebow does when people try to shoot him.
