    It was actually recorded in 2018, I believe, and has been in the can ever since.

    Well, that's weird. Did a ratings drop cause them to scrap a normal season for all-stars and gimmicks (like the year they swapped teammates)?

    It was more a case of no room on the schedule. It was supposed to run this summer then was pushed back again when the fall season was put on hold by COVID-19 precautions.

    They actually started filming the season after the one getting ready to air, got 5 days in and sent everyone home and postponed filming indefinitely due to COVID.
