The alleged post-penal pastime of a dog-killing quarterback

    According to web-published reports, Michael Vick went to a strip club. In and of itself, no big deal, I know. But then, he's going to meet with Roger Goodell to make a case that he's changed his character. And by now Goodell has to be convinced that nothing positive happens in strip clubs. Patronizing one of these establishments cannot be in the best interest of Vick getting reinstated.

    Edit: Changed thread title to be more in line with current public information on the subject, such as it is.

    If going to a strip club means you can't play in the NFL, we'll be down to two teams this season.

    Point taken, but this circumstance -- convicted felon seeking reinstatement through, among other things, showing that he's changed his ways -- is outside the norm, is it not?

    That or arrogant, assuming he can do what he pleases and he'll get back in anyway. Perhaps it is a bit of both.

    Yeah. I mean, he's free to go to strip clubs whenever he wants. He's an adult. But when you're 24-48 hours (reportedly) from the biggest job interview of your life, um, I'd hold off on the T&A for a couple days. That's just me, though.

    Also, I'm guessing AI picked up the tab.

    I guess there's nothing inherently wrong with hitting strip clubs but, good lord, the poor judgment of these guys never ceases to amaze.

    Even if he's too dumb to figure it out, you'd think he'd have some agent or advisor explaining to him that making a beeline straight from the prison to the strip clubs on your VERY FIRST NIGHT OUT of Federal custody (god forbid he spend it with family) ain't gonna help him convince Goodell and the world that he's a changed man.

    Not disagreeing. But if I was in jail and then house arrest for 2-3 years, seeing some boobies would be pretty high on my to-do list when I was freed.
