Real Quiet went off at 5-2 in 1998, can't remember if that was the favorite. I think Victory Gallop got some hometown love that year.

I like Creative Cause, too, Ben. Of course, I also liked him in the Derby.

Well, he'll only have to go over, under and around ten horses here, rather than 5,384.

    Oops . . .

BALTIMORE – Hall of Fame jockey Kent Desormeaux was replaced by Ramon Dominguez aboard longshot Tiger Walk for Saturday’s Preakness Stakes after Desormeaux failed a Breathalyzer test at Belmont Park on Friday and was removed from his three mounts by that track’s stewards.

To answer the "When is the last time..." question, it wasn't that long ago. Rachael Alexandra was the favorite the year Mine That Bird was the Derby winner.

Try to get reserved seats, in the shade in the stands. They're not that expensive.

Watch out for dozens of Johns Hopkins drunks shaking beer cans, then opening them in your face. In terms of broad, low behavior, it's probably worse than Churchill.

I'd say definitely. And much worse.

I'm playing Bode across and an exacta box with Creative Cause.
What's Teeth of the Dog's Beyer number?

    Not fast enough, huh?
Well, I'm sticking with my play, although I might the 9 in there on a tri box.
