There used to be a thread somewhere on here for posting links to articles and stories that were too good not to share. Apologies if it's in plain sight. I can't find it and found something that deserves attention. So here goes...

    The Remaking of Steve Buscemi
    from: GQ
Been a fan since Trees Lounge. This profile affirms everything I've suspected about him from watching his work.
It also lets me know I've been mispronouncing his surname for decades.

I think the entire world has mispronounced his name. It’s like Ray Davies. It look likes it should be Dav-ees, but is actually Davis.

Okay, that's another surname I can now pronounce correctly. LOL

    Wartime for Wodehouse
    from: The New Yorker
Reading this was an exercise in learned empathy for me. Wodehouse was privileged but not entitled. English outrage at his accounts in a German internment camp confused him. In an age when lack of outrage is seen as a lack of concern, it's interesting to read the other side of this.

I saw him correct a reporter one time. He was so polite about it. It was like “don’t worry, people have been doing it wrong for years.”

Buscemi's at his best in Horace and Pete's.

That was @Double Down's series of stories and discussions of same from several years ago. Those definitely provided great reading.

    I enjoyed the Buscemi story.
