Maybe Carl Everett was right about the Sox not being able to win without him.

As a Twins fan, I hate the White Sox because in four out of the past five seasons, Minnesota has just owned Chicago down the stretch and beaten their asses for the division.

And then, every year, the national media comes in around spring training and annoints the Pale Hose the favorites to win that year. And not one punk bitch on that team ever has the balls to remind anyone they didn't win the division the year before.

And when they get asked if the Twins are a concern, they say shit like they're more worried about Cleveland. Seriously. Look it up.

    Fuck the White Sox.

"Embarrassing" is a perfect word . . . for Eddie Munster.

Comparing the Sox to the Yanks is laughable. No other team in baseball could have
reached for $16 mill to throw at Abreau, as a stopgap, while only having to give up
several sacks of warm offal, in return.

Eddie's blinded by the revenge factor. He's the joke.

Clevelanders don't know the meaning of choke.*

    * Except for fumbles at the 1-yard-line, interceptions while in FG range at the end of the game, grounders at the end of Game 7 of the World Series, and playoff games involving last-second Michael Jordan shots.

Yes, the Indians sure got their revenge. In a reversal of fortune from '05, the Tribe eliminated the ChiSox from playoff contention, and now they can go on to the postseason and ... Oops, guess it's not exactly the same. But take heart, Clevelanders, it's only been, what, 58 years since your last title. You've got plenty of time to get it right.

And Zeke, that was one whiny post. The Sox weren't mentioned last year as favorites to win the Central, precisely because they couldn't beat Minnesota for most of the 21st century. I looked it up.

I wouldn't talk too much smack -- only last year did the White Sox tie Kansas City's number of World Series crowns in the past 80-some years. And the Royals have only been around since 1969, so it's not like the White Sox have had all that much to talk about until last season.

Blah, blah, blah. You keep trotting that out. Great. The Royals have a relatively storied history.

But last season happened, so it's been one year since the Sox won a title. Not gonna apologize for that.
