    Perhaps. Perhaps not.

    It's a pretty apples-to-oranges comparison. Attention-whoring through orchestrating your boyfriend's suicide is much different than being so full of yourself that you think 500 people care what you made for breakfast.

    Right. But they weren't finding it as easily, which in turn would cut down on the seeking.

    Really, people cataloguing their entire day photographically, and sharing it with the world, is something completely new. There isn't much of an analog to prior times.

    The only thing you could compare it to in the olden days was the neighbor down the street having everyone sit through his home movies.

    The stereotypical reaction? "Aaargh! Get me out of here!"

    Only now, everyone is "that" neighbor.

    Disputable. Pretty damn disputable. At least not a great life.

    Facebook spreads absurd lies with "links" down rabbit holes of made-up stats and ugly arguments. It encourages people to be fake by reducing their timeline into a highlight package. It's a heavy dose of unreality.
