Maybe he's referring to refugees on the sex offenders database.

First off I never said state officials have no authority to ban anyone legally from the US, they DO have the authority to ban certain people from their particular states. They are refugees, NOT citizens. They don't have the same freedom to live in any state such as you and I do.

Secondly, I never said having a green card permits you from residing anywhere, I said there are certain restrictions people have when they have a green card. There are privileges and freedoms we as citizens have that they do not have.

I shouldn't be surprised by your "reading is fundamental bullshit" as it is clear reading isn't one of your strong suits.

I'm a little concerned for their welfare considering the governor on down has been working so hard to stigmatize them.

12 of those 21 are children between ages 2-15. But hey, with Texas' lax gun laws, you just know they'll be shooting up their kindergarten Christmas party.

So when is Texas going to build the walls with gates and checkpoints to keep the smelly brown moosilims out?

I'm sure the good teabagger residents of Texas will be happy to suck up the nominal tax increases to raise the several trillion bucks it will cost.

My man...think about what you are suggesting.

How would a governor ban someone from his state? Is there a list somewhere? Let's say a refugee family is settled in Arkansas. A few months later, they take a day trip somewhere in Texas. Say, the JFK museum. Or they just go to a grocery store that's on the Texas side of the border. Let's say they get pulled over for speeding. The driver shows the cop his/her Arkansas license. Now, explain to me what happens from that point on...the cop runs the license in the computer, and, what, an alert pops up that the governor says the driver isn't allowed in Texas? What happens at that point? Does the cop escort the family back across state lines? He can't arrest them, because they haven't done anything illegal. There is no such thing as interstate immigration (kinda the foundation of the Constitution), so there can't be such a thing as illegal interstate immigration. So what, exactly, are you suggesting the governor has the power to do? A person is either a legal resident of the United States or he/she is an illegal alien. Anybody who is a legal resident of the United States is free to go wherever they please, anywhere in the country. Only the federal government has the power to say who is a legal resident of the United States. This is fifth-grade social studies stuff.

It's why the whole thing is so silly: the agency could "settle" the refugees in Arkansas and, two weeks later, they could decide to move to Texas on their own, and there wouldn't be a damn thing the governor could do.

Sure there is. Set up checkpoints on the border with high-power automatic weapons.
