When did the Rangers start wearing ABA basketballs on their heads?

What do you mean? These guys have reached new heights since they put black in their jerseys.

Texas also fucked up in that they left the lettering on the white jerseys blue, which just looks like a blurry mess with the black backshadow. It's like they kept everything that sucked about the most recent uni scheme and then added stupid shit.

The old "AL West Champs" red cap is being brought back as an alternate. As much as I prefer the red caps, I feel that teams should have just one color cap.

At least those ugly alternate caps with the red T are gone. Though I will miss the sleeveless white jerseys with the blue undershirts and red T.

In about the only truly cool development, they're going with the same font on the names and numbers:

But all that will be moot, as everyone will be blinded by the glare of the idiotic headgear.

I loved the sleeveless white jerseys myself.
I also agree that the new font for the names and numbers is the best feature about the new unis.

As do I. And after reading it regularly, I'm noticing more and more quirks. For instance, I noticed that the Texans flag hanging in the circular ramp of Aloha Stadium at the Pro Bowl was white.. when they've never worn white helmets, at least to my knowledge.

But this helmet needs to go post haste.
