I would love to see A&M and Virginia Tech invited. That'd bring some balance to the East.

ESPN is to journalism what "Entertainment Tonight" is to journalism.
But that's the depth of most people's critical thinking these days.

    Just cruise to newsok.com.

The Pac-14 is very much in their thoughts.

Although it's been said, many times, many ways, what ESPN covers best is ... ESPN. Give it something more difficult than Yankees v. Red Sox or Bret Favre's latest comeback, it's no wonder its scooped regularly by Yahoo, ect., on the biggies.

From the wwl, no invite is forthcoming:

Maybe they should rename it the Little 10.

I'll say this: I'm convinced that if the SEC adds schools, it won't be on the program level of Oklahoma. TAMU is as strong as it's likely to get. They're not going to want to engineer 3 and 4 loss conference champions and preclude the conference from winning national championships.

Damn, there go those faint hopes of the UH Cockroaches.

The Big 12 should just rename itself with University of TeXas Conference, with the Capital X to serve as the one reminder that there are nine schools in it other than Texas.

So is anyone at ESPN held accountable for jumping the gun or is the fact that they had a lot of readers this weekend enough to justify the miss? The criticism of their coverage throughout the thread seems more appropriate now than ever.
