I'm pretty sure Hendry's been a GM longer than Riccardi too. He took over in 2002 I believe.

The reporter who got that information should have followed up with "Why the fuck would Terry Ryan want to work for another cheap ass owner?"

God doesn’t need a cheapskate, yet.

Ryan says he wasn't pushed out but would rather return to scouting and is going to stay with the organization. Wonder if that's true. Claims he's not looking for another job.

I think he jumped when he saw the writing on the wall with Liriano and Hunter.

Not exactly similar to what Hunsicker did in Houston, of course, but possibly the same deal in getting fed up with ownership.

Speaking of Fenway ... Theo Epstein was hired the year before the Red Sox won the World Series, so he should be on the list.

Tom Hicks will whip out the 12-pounder again to get Torii Hunter to Arlington. Which is IMO compounding his errors, since he let a perfectly good CF go in Gary Matthews Jr.

Gary Matthews Jr. is dogshit. Letting him go was no great loss. They weren't going to make the playoffs with him. He's also on the list of guys MLB wants to talk to about HGH.

But he also quit for a nanosecond to go play the part of gorilla, so his "tenure" is less than a year.

    What a stupid comment.
How many division titles, how many playoff appearances?
Doesn't the Cardinals winning the world series last year with 82 wins show what a crapshoot the playoffs are.
Look at the fuckin budget he works with it's amazing they have done that well

Hey, he had the good sense to realize the gold that is Scott Hatteberg.

Pohlad refuses to budge on Satan's asking price for the downstairs condo. So he can't move in yet.
