I just looked it up, Deion's 4.23 in pads was at the combine.

    I might believe it.

The kid has amazing wheels -- I've seen it at field level -- and his stride is so long that he looks like he's moving slower than he actually is. [/PIAA fanboi font]

Oh, I'd definitely believe Pryor's time over Ginn's time. In a heartbeat.

I think there's a realistic chance Pryor ran a 4.33. I'd like to see it, though.

When did players run in pads at the combine?

That speed will make Prior useful as a TE in the NFL.

  7. Where did you get this info?
I don't beleive ANY of it.
Don Bebe?! He's white ... 'nuff said about that.
    And No Willie Gault?

Here's the simple thing about 40 times:

If it's not electronically timed by a neutral party, it isn't true. You can probably add 0.2 to every time on that list.

  9. Are you saying the guy who ran in the Olympics ran the 100 yards dash 4.42 or ran a 40 time of 4.42?

Everybody says kids have 4.3 speed. I don't know who many claims are made on the local high school messageboard about Johnny Stud being timed at 4.3-something at a combine in Columbus or Lower Bugtussle.

    It's bullshit.

I don't know Green's times in the 40, but that man was crazy fast when he played. And he was crazy fast for nearly 15 years. Dude chased down Curtis Martin during a Redskins-Patriots game in 1997, I believe. I know he chased down Tony Dorsett during his rookie season in 1983.

Ryan, I agree.....though Bennett likely would have been an Olympic sprinter for the US had he not opted to focus on football in college.

His fast times were almost sheer talent. Had he trained and worked on his technique he would have been incredible. He was that damn fast.

I knew Bo Jackson was a freak of nature, but I didn't know he reportedly ran a 4.1.

    Unreal.
