Tennis equipment expert needed

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by This is my username, Jul 24, 2009.

  1. The wife and I both played in school, and 10 years later we've picked it up again and are loving it. Unfortunately, we're both playing on the same rackets (and strings, and grips) that were on them when we bagged them up a decade ago.

So we're looking to upgrade to something more intermediate (and better than we can probably find off the rack at Target), but if we walk into a club shop (or whatever) I know we'd just take a bath on markup.

So, tennis equipment experts: any suggestions on where to start looking, what to look for and what to avoid?

PM BTExpress or birdscribe. They know of what they speak.
