    Which really sucks because as you know, servers make less than minimum wage. In CT, its like 5.75 an hour, in Mass its like 3.82 an hour. We survive totally on tips.

    Which is bullshit in its own right. Restaurant owners being able to get away with paying less than minimum wage is just plain wrong.

    Went to a bachelor party/dinner once where we were told in advance the check would be split evenly. I had been ill earlier that week, so I only ordered a bowl of soup, knowing it would be an expensive endeavour.
    I didn't mind pitching in for the groom-to-be's drinks, but a lot of others were ordering overpriced alcohol as well.
    The $50 I paid for soup and Sprite meant less money for the strippers when we went out after dinner.

    And here I thought we had totally threadjacked this and turned it into post padding. But no, someone had to get back to the point. Or at least the point of another averted threadjack.

    Not that we ever do that here. We always stay on point.
